Pricing

We understand that the costs of veterinary care is an important consideration for every pet owner. We also understand that our clients want the best level of care for their pet and the reassurance that their pet is in safe hands. We pride ourselves in being able to provide high quality, compassionate care with excellent equipment and facilities delivered by experienced vets and qualified nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are committed to being fair and transparent about pricing, discussing all available options with you, and providing clear estimates before treatment, so that you can make informed decisions that best suit your needs and that of your pet.
To help cover the costs of more extensive procedures we recommend that our clients consider pet insurance, and we work with most insurance companies to be able to offer a direct claim service. Please see our insurance page for more information on this.
The costs of our more common procedures and services are outlined below
Consultations
First consultation £63
Our standard consultation length for initial and repeat consultations is 20 minutes which is longer than the industry norm. This is to give our vets time to listen to your concerns, conduct a thorough examination and discuss treatment options. We encourage owners to request an appointment with the same vet to ensure continuity of care for their pets. We can offer same day appointments for more urgent problems.
Repeat consultations £57
These appointments are for follow up visits when you pet has been seen recently.
Prescribed medicines and treatment are in addition to the consult fee.
Nurse Consultation £25
We have a team of experienced registered veterinary nurses (RVNs), that can help with nail clips, anal gland expression and regular injections (librela/ solensia*) *Following consultation with the vet.

Kitten vaccination primary course (including consultations) £80

This includes a thorough health check with one of our vets. Annual vaccinations are also a good opportunity to discuss any health concerns you may have about your pet, any “lumps or bumps” and your pet’s dental care. A full health check also allows our vets to prescribe prescription medicines for flea and worming control for the next 12 months.

Surgeries and treatments
As a client of the practice you will have peace of mind that you can access our 24-hour veterinary support should you need any advice or help following your pet’s surgical procedure, by vets that have access to your pet’s notes at our own premises.
Cat spay £135
Spaying your female cat or kitten stops them from having offspring and lowers the likelihood of certain cancers. We advise that all female cats undergo neutering.
Cat castration £95
Castrating or neutering your male cat helps with unwanted behaviours such as wandering and spraying. We recommend that all male cats are castrated and this can be done from four to six months old after they have completed their primary vaccination course.
Dog spay £340- £500
All our routine spays are given intravenous fluids to maintain blood pressure and are monitored by nurses using machines that monitor your pet’s heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and carbon dioxide levels. Additional intra operative pain relief, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, paracetamol and local anaesthetic drugs are included in the cost of the surgery. This price range covers dogs <10kg to >40kg and pain relief for 24 hours, although the vet may suggest additional pain relief to go home with, together with a smart collar or body suit.
Dog spay (laparoscopic) £780
We offer keyhole surgery to neuter your dog, which has the main benefits of small incisions and a faster recovery. We are Swansea’s only practice to offer this procedure. Typically, a “keyhole spay” involves removal of the ovaries (ovariectomy) and can be done in dogs over 7kg.
Dog castration £260-£365
Castration prevents your dog from reproducing and can help with certain unwanted behaviours. Speak to one of our vets or nurses for more advice about when to consider this. This price range covers dogs <10kg to >40kg.
Routine Dentistry
General anaesthetic, dental X rays, scale and polish £299
We believe that your pet’s dental care is really important which is why we have lowered any barriers to your pet having a full scale and polish. For your pet’s safety, this is carried out under general anaesthesia. Dental X rays of all your pet’s teeth are taken which gives us more information and a better understanding of whether any extractions need to be carried out. We can also give you a more accurate estimate of what dental work your pet may require. All our branches have dental X ray facilities.
General anaesthetic, dental X rays and extractions (from) £556
Dental care is priced according to the amount of time taken to remove teeth, sometimes it is not possible to identify how much dental work is required until your pet is anaesthetised and the teeth are cleaned, probed and X rays are taken. Our vets will often give you an estimate range depending on best- and worst-case scenario. For pets that require extensive dental treatment, we will aim to do as much dental work as possible under the anaesthetic, but in some cases a second anaesthetic may be required. If your pet requires fluids, these will be included in the cost of the procedure. Your vet may also recommend a blood test for older patients which we will discount as part of the procedure.
